Thank you for visiting James Fitzgerald's web site. We hope you enjoy his work as much as we do. We appreciate your comments in order to provide the best web site possible.

Please feel free to contact us with any comments or questions.

Mr. and Mrs. Edgar F. Hubert met James Fitzgerald in 1957 on Monhegan Island Maine. They liked his work immediately, and a warm friendship developed over the years. At the time, Fitzgerald was not well known, however he had lived from the proceeds of the sale of his paintings and gilding. Their warm friendship lasted until Fitzgerald's death in 1971. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar F. Hubert followed Fitzgerald's wishes and provided a catalyst for people to view his work. Fitzgerald had said "If my work has a chance, it will find it's place".

Mr. Edgar F. Hubert died in Florida in 1993, leaving Mrs. Hubert with the complex but pleasurable task of watching Fitzgerald's work become a significant part of 20th century art.

The Hubert's would like to thank you for your interest in Fitzgerald's art work. Thanks also goes out to Fitzgerald's widening circle of friends and to all the wonderful people who have contributed their time and energy to preparing Fitzgerald's web site including, Calvin Hennig and Gerry Ulhorn.
