Welcome to James Fitzgerald's Home PageJames Fitzgerald was an artist who took a great deal of time studying his subjects, and through powerful artistry reduced them to their essential elements. The resulting distilled, deceptively simple images reveal the complexity and depth of his vision.
Fitzgerald dedicated his life to painting. Often with scarce financial resources, he purchased the finest materials for his work. Driven by his own interests and not by the concerns of the day, he was able to concentrate on his work, creating outstanding and unique artistic production that he thought would stand the test of time.
Fitzgerald lived from 1899 to 1971. He believed that after his death, if his work "has a chance it would find its true place."
Fitzgerald's work is divided into the following areas for your viewing pleasure.
